Broadway Asia Work

Description : 

Broadway Asia is a global production and distribution company that specializes in bringing Broadway musicals, immersive experiences, and live entertainment to markets across Asia and worldwide. They are responsible for international tours, licensed productions, and original theatrical ventures. 

Role : Production Assistant

These responsibilities parallel core competencies in game production, including cross-disciplinary coordination, asset management, quality control, and maintaining production schedules in fast-paced, high-stakes environments.

Cross-Disciplinary Coordination

Worked between costume, props, stage management, and audio teams to keep all production elements aligned, mirroring communication pipelines in game development between art, programming, and design.

Real-Time Problem Solving

Responded to live-stage emergencies such as mic malfunctions, set adjustments, and actor needs without disrupting performance flow, showcasing crisis management skills critical for live-service or launch-day scenarios.

Quality Assurance Under Pressure

Ensured all stage elements were performance-ready, effectively acting as QA to catch and resolve issues before they reached the audience.

Time & Schedule Management

Set up and broke down stage elements efficiently under strict time constraints, demonstrating milestone management similar to sprint deadlines in agile workflows.

Charlie and The Chocolate Factory : 

As a Production Assistant for the musical Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I collaborated closely with the stage directors and staff to create stand in props and coordinate with actors to help prepare for their international tour abroad.

World's Greatest Lover : 

During it's showcase at the  Edinburgh Fringe Festival, I collaborated closely with the director, stage crew, and cast to have seamless daily operations of the production. My work continued throughout and the production cycle, and  demanded rapid problem solving, cross department communication, and adaptability under pressure, while managing logistical and technical needs in real time.
